The Thornthwaite Inheritance

The book is called The Thornthwaite Inheritance written by Gareth P Jones. It is about the Thornthwaite orphaned twins Ovid and Lorelli. Different from the other normal siblings, Ovid and Lorelli have been trying to actually kill each other for over 13 years as being murderous was inherited in their blood from long ago. Their schemes were all extremely ingenious and improbable that you wouldn’t believe they are 13. Ovid and Lorelli are educated at home by their so-called- loyal butler Alfred Crutcher ever since their parents died. At the age of 13, the twins consider a truce which then bring along newcomers to the Thornthwaite Manor. Right when Ovid and Lorelli start to trust each other, someone is attempting new murders against them and setting disbeliefs among the twins.

Every characters except for the twins, (I guess), from the detective and the old priest in town, the family lawyer and his son, the staffs within the Manor to Ovid and Lorelli’ parent themselves had or are having their own secrets and mockingly, they all related to the death of Lord and Lady Thornthwaite. Throughout the story, you would always have to question yourself”whodunwat” not just like any other detective stories where you just have to question “whodunit”. I think this book is brilliant, the author has gathered, created and combined some very successful factors from some famous detective books (don’t really want to reveal) :P

Anyway, I recommend you to read this book, you wouldn’t regret.
