Through out the articles we have read in english. There have been two main features of the articles that have really caught my attention. One of them being how how different parents treat their children with digital grounding and actually grounding. The other one is that how children can be affected the amount of attention that their parents give or don't them or doesn't give them while using their gadgets .
It is a fact that different parents discipline their children in different ways such as digital grounding and actually grounding ( meaning taking away privileges to go out ). This means that each child or teenager is different and should be punished in different ways. For example a child that is addicted to his or her computer, TV, mobile phone it should be a punishment to have there technology taken away from them or if not then they should think of another suitable method. An example of this is To me this struck my attention when listening to one of the interviews, saying that this woman could digitally ground one of her children and not the other because the older one could live with out technology and the other that couldn't .
This next point is something that effects me, at home is when my mum/ dad are talking to me and all of a sudden there phone rings or gets text messages they stop the conversation completely and just pay attention to their phones *. I am sure that this happens to lots of children. An example of this is when a woman talked to her her daughter with 1897 while she wasn't on the phone and then only 446 when she was on the phone. This affects the child in many ways such as there communications will take longer to develop because they need the voice to be able to pick up the words further more children could act out if they aren't getting enough attention.
These are the main things that caught my attention because there are many children and parents that are having to deal with these problems on a daily basis, the trouble fitting punishments to a child and child being ignored.
* I would like to point out that this doesn't happen anymore but it used to
