Bloody Jack's advice on Jimmy's parents

In chapter 6, Jimmy explains everything about his situations with his parents. He told Bloody Jack how his parents were always fighting and shouting. I think that Bloody Jack's advice was not the best est of advice that he could have given Jimmy, seeing that Jimmy only talks about his parents to Bloody Jack.

When Bloody Jack says "young boys do not understand what is going on, and that they should not pay attention. Grownups should be ignored", he is basically trying to say that young boys are not old enough to know situations with parents and that they should just forget about it.
Also, when Bloody Jack said to "not care", this advice can be seen in a good way and in a bad way. The good way is that Jimmy is just eleven so he's not that matured yet so it's pretty easy for him to "not care" about his parents. The bad way is that even though Jimmy might "not care" anymore, he actually will still have that feeling where he wants to care. Also, this might not help solve the problem because if he does not do anything to stop his parents from fighting, then it can haunt him in the future, telling himself why he didn't do anything. Once you face something, it won't go away unless you face it.

In conclusion, I don't really know what to say about Bloody Jack's advice, since it can be seen as good and bad. For now, it could be seen as more of a good advice because Jimmy can get on with his life without worrying about his parents. When he is more matured, that is probably the time to act on his parents situation.
